What does headlight restoration cost?
On Brad's price sheet, Headlight Restoration + Sealant starts at $90 per headlight and Headlight Restoration + Ceramic Coating starts at $125 per headlight. Most vehicles have two, and they are usually done together so they match. Every price is subject to inspection, since cracks and moisture inside the housing change what is possible.
Why do headlights turn yellow?
Sun. Most modern lenses are polycarbonate plastic with a thin factory coating that blocks UV light. Years of Florida sun break that coating down, and the plastic underneath oxidizes and turns yellow and cloudy. Vehicles that park outside, especially facing the afternoon sun, fade first. A hazy lens scatters light instead of sending it down the road, so headlights seem dim even with good bulbs.
Sealant or ceramic: which one?
Both start the same way, by removing the damaged layer and polishing the lens clear. The difference is the protection at the end. A restored lens left bare can yellow again within months. A ceramic coating on the restored lens adds a harder protective layer against the sun, which is why the ceramic option costs more. Elaine Corbett wrote in a Google review that Brad took the extra time to make the headlights "look brand new & not cost me more $ to replace."
Restore or replace?
Restoration fits lenses that are yellow, hazy or lightly scratched on the outside and otherwise intact. Replacement fits headlights that are cracked, chipped, fogged on the inside or damaged in an accident. Restoration also cannot fix a reflector inside the housing that has faded or peeled. If you are not sure, describe your headlights in your request or call (386) 590-0967.
Clear headlights pair well with the rest of the front end. Many owners add a clay bar treatment or a paint enhancement at the same visit.

How the work goes
Done carefully, start to finish.
Where is the haze?
Restoration fixes the outside of the lens. Moisture inside the housing is a different repair.
Paint masked
The paint and trim around each lens are taped off before any sanding.
Damaged layer removed
Sanding in finer and finer steps takes off the yellowed layer evenly, not just the worst spots.
Polished back to clear
Polishing until the lens is clear from every angle, not only straight on.
Sealed again
Bare plastic yellows quickly in the sun. A protective layer, sealant or ceramic, is what helps it last.
Cleaned up
Tape off, residue wiped from the seams, and the front end left clean.

Frequently asked
Headlight Restoration questions.
How much is headlight restoration?
Headlight Restoration + Sealant starts at $90 per headlight. Headlight Restoration + Ceramic Coating starts at $125 per headlight. All prices are starting prices and subject to inspection.
How long does a restoration last?
It depends on the protection at the end and how much sun the vehicle gets. A lens left bare can yellow again within months, which is what the ceramic option is for.
Can every headlight be restored?
No. Cracks, chips, deep pitting and moisture inside the housing cannot be fixed by restoring the outside. Those usually need a new headlight.
Is it cheaper than new headlights?
Usually, yes. One of Brad's Google reviewers wrote that the restored headlights looked brand new and did "not cost me more $ to replace."
Do toothpaste and quick kits work?
For a short time. Without removing the whole damaged layer and sealing the lens again, the haze tends to come back quickly.
Do you restore both headlights?
Usually both, so they match. The price is per headlight.
